“Our family spent a wonderful few days together in Brookside over Christmas and the house proved a perfect venue for a special festive getaway. The kitchen was really well equipped, which took a lot of the stress out of preparing Christmas dinner - enjoyed by 16 of us sat around the main dining table with room to spare. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of space, as were the two main living areas, with log fires helping to keep them warm and cosy. The local area provided some great dog-walking opportunities, with riverside and forest walks within a few minutes of the front door, whilst the games room proved very popular with the younger members of the family in particular. The communication from BHHL and the housekeeper were excellent throughout, and the welcome pack really helped us feel at home. All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas break in a fabulous venue.”

“The house was fantastic and just what we needed for a lovely family Christmas getaway. It was comfortable throughout, with a huge dining table and a kitchen that was really well equipped, so making meals - including Christmas - dinner for 16 people was no problem at all. Lots of great walks around the local area, around the river at Symonds Yat and nearby woods. We also went to the panto at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury, which was good fun.”
