There's a hot tub for after dinner and open fires for after that. It's at the end of a private lane with no traffic, so children and dogs roam freely. And when you want someone else to do the cooking, catering is available.

From 40th birthday weekends to 70th celebrations, Holly Tree House has hosted milestone after milestone. The dining room opens onto the garden terrace through bi-fold doors - perfect for summer parties that spill outside. In winter, gather around the open fires with the hot tub steaming in the background.
With catering and pampering available, the birthday guest doesn't have to lift a finger.
Family Reunions and Get-Togethers
Getting the extended family together is hard enough without worrying about where everyone will sleep. With nine bedrooms across two floors - most en-suite - everyone has their own space.
The ground floor has multiple sitting rooms, so you can be sociable or find a quiet corner with a book. And with three pubs within walking distance, you don't even need a designated driver.
Christmas and Seasonal Gatherings
Christmas at Holly Tree House is something special. Log fires, the valley dusted with frost, everyone under one roof. Several of our guests now make it an annual tradition.
The kitchen is equipped for serious Christmas dinner cooking - two ovens, two dishwashers, and enough crockery and cutlery for everyone. After lunch, walk it off along the river before returning to the hot tub.

“There are two local pubs - one on this side of the river and one on the other side. Both within walking distance. We went to the one on the other side of the river over the hanging bridge and found it very friendly, excellent service with great chips. Symonds Yat - wonderful to walk to and the views are incredible of the river. We loved our time at Holly Tree House and will definitely plan to return if we have the right number of people. It was warm, the rooms and the facilities were all excellent and the location was perfect. Oli who greeted me and ran through everything I needed to know was really helpful and could be contacted if I had any further questions. We were all really happy with our stay.”
“We enjoyed a drink at the Ferries Inn, but didn't eat there. It can get pretty busy. The house was a good size with plenty of showers and hot water for everyone. We loved the location and the ability to walk, cycle and run a variety of routes from the door. The hot tub was a little too cold to use, which was a bit disappointing.”

The barbecue was fantastic, and the kitchen was spacious, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. Everything was clean and well presented, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time. The only small suggestion would be to mention that access to the hot tub is through the spare bedroom, either on the floor plan or in the guest information, as it took us a while to find it. Otherwise, everything was great. Avellinos was a great restaurant in Ross-on-Wye — excellent staff, very funny and welcoming. We pre-ordered our food, and it came out perfectly on time. Everything was well cooked, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Highly recommended! If you're looking to play golf, Forest Hill Golf Club is a great choice — only about 15 minutes away from the property. It's an excellent course with some really interesting holes on the back nine. Everyone in the clubhouse is very friendly an”
