The space to be all together all 24 of us and plenty of room to be able to be in smaller groups if needed

Recommends The Old Nags Head - We went here for a few drinks, the staff were lovely. The pub had pool and darts which the family loved. A very warm, welcoming pub. No, other than visit the town, as this was beautiful. The house was lovely, one of the best houses we have stayed in as a family. It has everything you could possibly need for young children to adults, it really did cater for all. The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. The house was warm all the time, which is a big plus in the winter! A really beautiful home. A big thank you to Mike who welcomed us and checked in with us via text during our stay, he made us feel very welcomed. Only one improvement would be that the internet did not reach the whole house

Recommends Aslans. Despite the recent flood it was just pleasant to walk to the town & visit the market & many independent shops & cafes.

Aslan fish and chip bar was excellent and delivered on time

The local Asian fish and chip shop did an excellent group order for our first night. We walked each day. Into Monmouth or around the lanes and across nearby fields. The weather was kind with rain at night only. Our group was 17 in total and everyone enjoyed the weekend so much we would like to come back in late summer\autumn when we are all available. The house was wonderful. Thank you.

The manor is a fantastic venue for large family gatherings with lots of space and a variety of rooms to congregate in, including a dining room big enough so we can all eat together. It also has some great views of the surrounding countryside and a nearby river. The kitchen was equipped so we were able to cook large meals including a turkey roast. The heating works well but it would have been nice if it could have been turned up in readiness for our arrival as we had elderly relatives.

On the Doorstep of the Wye Valley

The nearby facilities are superb: 10 minutes walk will take you to a half a dozen excellent pubs and eateries, an Indian restaurant, Aslans fish and chips, and the Monnow Trail for fantastic walking.

If you bring your pets you can walk straight from the door and you don't need to cross a road. The site is fenced and gated so your little loved ones are safe - plus as you're at the very end of the lane there's no busy traffic to deal with.
