Our passionate outdoor pursuits instructors have decades of experience between them and we love to explore the woods, hills, crags and rivers of the UK just as much as we enjoy sharing our passion with others. Our 'outdoor office' in the beautiful Forest of Dean & Wye Valley is an adventurer's paradise with ancient forests, wild rivers, hidden caves and adrenaline fuelled cliff tops and valleys to explore. Our navigation courses take place in the Wye Valley or in the rolling hills of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Adventurers from Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham can be here within an hour or so and there are amazing accommodation options for active visitors from London (2 hours) and beyond.

In 2014, an Event Manager and a Head Chef met doing what they love and the logical step was to form Two Simmering Pans in order to combine our expertise. What is floatation? Imagine relaxing in a giant bathtub that you can sleep in with peace of mind. Firstly, the water is only approximately 25cm deep. Secondly, it is saturated with Epsom salt, and heated to skin temperature. This is where the magic begins. Your body floats like a cork, a bit like in the Dead Sea. You are so buoyant that you can totally relax all your muscles, and let go of tensions. You will float naturally and effortlessly, and the support of the water around your body gives a sense of weightlessness. All the work the mind and body usually has to do just to resist gravity becomes unnecessary, and you are able to let go and relax into a blissful state.

he origins of Monmouth Gin come from a birthday present gin tasting evening. The tasting experience changed our view of gin to a more interesting drink than previously thought. Our appetite was further whetted by a make your own gin kit given as a present the following Christmas Eventually, we came up with what we thought was a passable recipe and we discussed what we should do next. We conducted some research and found a gin company to collaborate with so that we could learn more and even lead us to create our own gin to share with the world. After initial meetings with the Gower Gin Company they agreed to help fill in the blanks in our knowledge of the process and bureaucracy associated with the expansion of our idea into what would become the Monmouth Gin Company. Initially we rented a space on the Treowen Estate near Monmouth before moving to a unit at the business park in the town where the gin continues to be produced and bottled, ready for delivery. Penderyn Distillery is the home of Welsh Whisky and produces award-winning single malt whiskies from 3 distilleries. Our HQ, in Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog) in South Wales. A second distillery opened in Llandudno (May 2021) and a third in Swansea Copperworks (June 2023).

Approximately a miles walk from Abergavenny, enjoy a lovely stroll around the vineyard, exploring the picturesque valley, following the stream and waterwheel, that spill out towards the Usk Valley. Why not head back to sample their refreshing wines, or take home some for later from their gift shop, and seek nourishment in the Sugarloaf coffee shop.

Robb and Nicola's journey into viticulture began in 1993 when they purchased a 12-acre smallholding and transformed the old milking parlour into their cherished home. Nestled in the idyllic countryside, this setting became the perfect place for Nicola's dream of owning a vineyard to blossom. By 2008, Nicola's aspirations started taking shape when they acquired a south-facing field. Filled with excitement, they performed soil tests, ordered vines, and began planting. In May 2009, the first 4,000 vines were planted, marking the birth of White Castle Vineyard. Ten years later, in May 2019, to celebrate a decade since the first planting, they expanded the vineyard by planting an additional 2,000 vines. Among these were Cabernet Franc, the first of its kind in Wales. Today, White Castle Vineyard boasts 13,500 vines. In 2024, the estate reached another milestone with the construction of Y Gwindy, their very own winery, further solidifying their legacy in Welsh winemaking.

The Estate is a Demeter certified Biodynamic and Organic producer snuggled in the South-East corner of Wales on the border with England, benefitting from the protection of the Cambrian Mountains and Brecon Beacons to the North and West. The vines are grown at around 50 degrees Northern Latitude at the limit of a grape variety's ability to ripen, producing alluring and refreshing wines with crisp acidities and purity of fruit. Production averages some 30,000 bottles of wine a year from the 9-hectare Estate. Great wine is made in the vineyard and work done in the Winery may only realise the potential at Harvest not increase it. The wines produced at Ancre Hill express the Terroir of ancient mudstone and sandstone soils.
