Finding a venue that seats 30 for dinner, gives everyone their own ensuite bedroom, and puts a private bar and games room at your disposal is almost impossible. Finding one on the banks of the River Wye in one of England's most beautiful valleys is something else entirely.
Wye Rapids House was built for gatherings. Past guests have hired cocktail mixologists for the bar, brought in professional chefs to cook four-course meals in the commercial kitchen, arranged alpaca walking trips and river canoeing, and celebrated everything from 60th birthdays to multi-generational reunions.

We enjoyed the whole experience of staying in a large property with family and freinds for a 60th & 65th birthday celebration, everything was catered for in the property for cooking and drinking, the bar was a great touch because we hired a cocktail mixologist so he had the perfect place to do his stuff. Nothing wrong with the kitchen at all, a hired Chef came in and cooked a perfect 4 course meal for us all. The views were stunning the outside area was perfect with seating areas. 10 out of 10”
“Walk up to Symonds Yat Rock from the back of the property is quit a challenge, but well worth it. Further nature trails available from the rock. Goodrich Castle well worth a visit. Short drive away We enjoyed the central social space and plenty of seating for meals. Well equipped kitchen.”
